A Very Merry Tablescape

Sweet friends, how are you?!
I am so excited to be back writing a blog this week, I have missed it so much! I have had to put a lot of focus on my Etsy shop Jars of Clay Co. this month, but I was able to work through my first holiday rush and am back to share another blog with you today!

This is another post in the blog hop tablescape series I am part of and have loved every minute of being in this group!  These girls are super sweet and talented and it is my absolute pleasure to have collaborated with them again to bring you a Christmas themed tablescape!  To see the other tables in the blog hop, check out the links at the bottom of this post!

The inspo I used for this particular table was Christmas music!  I am one of “those” who absolutely adore everything Christmas and start celebrating as early as possible, so I have literally been listening to Christmas music since September.  I know this is completely insane, but I now embrace my Crazy Christmas Lady side.  It is what it is.

A couple of my favorite songs are, “Walking in a Winter Wonder Land” and “Sleigh Ride.”

I just imagined what it would be like walking around in an untouched forest of freshly snow-covered evergreen trees.  What feeling I would have, what I would see, what colors there would be, and tried to incorporate all that into a tablescape theme!

Let’s start off with the plates!

I picked these up at Walmart, friends!  This is from their Pioneer Woman Paige collection in the color Linen.  I adore the shape and details of the plate and the creamy color is just gorgeous!

If you have seen my other tablescape blog posts, you know I enjoy having the two end settings different from the rest.  I saw these adorable deer plates, also from the Pioneer Woman collection, and just had to use them for a Christmas table.  They are just too sweet!

Only adding two gives the perfect feel of forest animals and Christmas cheer to the table without breaking the bank!

I decided against chargers this time to keep the table from being too crowded, but had I decided to go with them, I probably would have picked some wood wicker to bring in more of the earthy feel.

For the place setting I used tiny bottle brush trees (I am completely obsessed with these this season, anyone else?) and I always like to give a little gift to my guests, so what would be better than a sweet little ornament with their name on a gift tag for the place setting?

Don’t forget to make the seating cozy for your sleigh ride!  The faux fur, washed out gray blanket, white sweater pillow, and gray ‘Baby it’s Cold Outside’ pillow are all from Tuesday Morning!

Now let’s get to the focal point of this tablescape!

The runner I used is from Target’s dollar section and I thought made the perfect runner to ground the centerpiece and give the feel of freshly fallen, untouched snow.

The main character of this tablescape is this stunning, rustic, gold sled I found at Michael’s for a steal!  Christmas decor was 50% off making this guy about $12!

I wanted to incorporate the sled but not take away from the forest-y feel. I wanted everything to kind of blend together.

The trees I used were a mixture of white bottle brush trees from Michael’s, a twine tree I made, a green bottle brush tree from Target and another smaller tree that I have had for years and honestly forget where it’s from, but I flocked with some flocking spray from Walmart.

I accented with smaller bottle brush trees, also from Michael’s, in shades of bronze and white.  I also used the same tones in small ornaments and jingle bells for a whimsical, neutral, Christmas feel!  The small gold tea light holders are from Michael’s and the larger ones are from Target’s dollar section.  I think they bring in the right feel and color of a bright sun on a crisp winter day.

Did you spot the little tree vignette?  It was super simple to make and a craft the kids enjoy as well!  I am always looking for ways to reuse empty candle jars  and this was perfect!  Just a glass candle jar, a little powdered sugar, and a few bottle brush trees!  I think it gives this place setting a feel of peaceful seclusion.

That’s all for this walk in a winter wonder land!
