Fresh Fall Tablescape

Hello, sweet friends!

It’s FALL Y’ALL!!!

In Texas that means 85 degree weather, but that’s still 20 degrees less than the end of summer so I’ll take it!

We have been spending so much more time outside and relishing in this amazing weather! I hope you have been able to do the same!

Today I am SO excited to bring you the first post in a series of tablescapes! This tablescape is fall themed, and I have teamed up with an amazing group of talented decor bloggers to bring you a blog hop packed with a beautiful variety we hope inspire you to create your own!

Be sure to check out the links at the end to see more gorgeous fall tablescapes from this sweet and talented bunch!

My inspiration for this setup was a beautiful, bright, crisp autumn day picnic.

I just pictured the different colors and natural items I would expect to find and of course no picnic is complete without a picnic blanket! And flannel plaid screams fall:

What I really love about the addition of this blanket are the beautiful blue stripes running throughout. Blue is so unexpected in fall decor and I think it brings a lovely pop of color, and it also helps to bring that feel of a clear blue sky to our indoor picnic!

I then added in some white pumpkins for that modern farmhouse look:

The centerpiece I kept simple and rustic with a beautiful wood slice and cotton stems in a glass cylinder with a burlap bow:

For the plate setting, I thought it would be fun to mix and match different plates to give a more relaxed picnic feel.  The napkins are tied with a thin burlap ribbon to tie in both the centerpiece and burlap chargers used.  Acorns and a bright green leaf liven up the setting and complete four of the six settings:

I always like to make the two ends of the table different!  I decided to use some different colored plates and use a burlap pumpkin for an effortless, fun look:

The finishing touches are found in the details:

I spread acorns, faux autumn leaves and combs to add a natural feel:

At the last minute I decided to add a few tealights. This simple addition brings a little something special and reminds me of sun beams dancing around a picnic blanket with the smell of fresh cut apples in the air:

    1. Thank you so much! This cooler weather has me feeling more outdoorsy and my kiddos enjoy a good picnic, so I thought, why not bring that seem feel indoors! I think the plaid blanket is what really makes that idea come to life.
      SO glad you liked it!
